16 Sept 2024 – Robert Krumland–Dunning and Steph Meikle join the lab as graduate students in the Materials Science and Engineering program and are immediately shipped off to Oxford, UK to participate in the CASTEP Workshop to learn about DFT and NMR calculations.
05 July 2024 – Sarah and Ethan are at Diamond Light Source in the UK running the group’s first beamtime. Synchrotron X-ray absorption spectroscopy of new battery materials.
16 June 2024 – Max and Sarah are off to Italy for the Panacea Solid-state NMR School. Ethan is in Saskatchewan training at the Canadian Light Source.
